Chip and I played the Six months to St. Patrick's celebration. After, St. Pat's last year, I have decided to focus my efforts on the box. This was our first gig with me on box full time. We managed to get through most of our set list before the pipers started to play in the parking lot.

We had a busy week for St. Patrick's this year. On St. Practice day, the week before St. Patrick's, Chip and I played two gigs. The first as a duo with me on Banjo. The second with guest fiddler Heather Gilmer and me on box. Everyone loved the box. On St. Pats we played two gigs as a duo - one at B. D. Riley's one and one at Mother Egan's. We also played a gig with Heather Gilmer and a last minute gig with the young Cliff Woods.

Chip and I played for St. Practice day the week before St Patrick's at B.D. Riley's. this is a warm up for the real deal. On St. Pat's we performed again at B.D Riley's and a private party. Two 2 hour gigs on St. Patrick's day left us tuckered out. We played until our fingers bled.

Chip and I survived another Austin Celtic Festival. Chip put in some long hours
as treasurer. The highlights for me were the sessions, swapping songs with Robbie
O'Connell and playing tunes with Gregory Grene from the Prodigals.

The habitat for humanity gig was interesting. It turned out to be a battle of
the bands kind of thing, with the other "bands" being rock bands. We felt a bit
out of place being the only acoustic trad band in the line-up. But the other
bands were cool and the audience dug it. The sound guy was a fellow accordion
aficionado. It was a very nice event and a nice venue.

The Dell Car Show was fun. Lots of Dell folks came out to see the cars and
listen to a few tunes. Upcoming gig at the Benefit for the Habitat for Humanity
in Old Settler's Park. We now have a nice promo CD with three tracks and some
fantastic artwork. Thanks again Yoshimi. I replaced Bud & Spud with Chip &
Kenny.

Our recent gigs at B.D. Riley's were a big success. The St. Practice gig went
off without a hitch. We held it together despite some sound problems and some
first night jitters. Thanks to everyone that came out to see us.

The St. Patrick's day gig was excellent. The sound was good, thanks to sound guy
Steve. I also use a new Banjo pick-up that worked much better. We had a really
nice groove going the entire gig. The pub was filled up by the time we finished
our second set. Thanks to John Erwin and Steve Basil at B.D Riley's.
